What is ASPECT RATIO and How to calculate the ASPECT RATIO: -

Nowadays, each mobile maintains 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. What is that?? How it can be calculated??

Before calculated the aspect ratio you should definitely know the How many pixels are used in mobile display. By using that we can calculated the aspect ratio.

 examples: -

in above picture there are 1080×1920 pixel are used. Here 1080 number belongs to horizontal pixels and 1920 number belongs to vertical pixels.

The formula for aspect ratio is = vertical pixels ÷ horizontal pixels

Aspect ratio of above mobile = 1920 ÷ 1080 after solving you will get the aspect ratio of the mobile

                   Aspect ratio of mobile is 16: 9 or 16/9.

Example:- moto g5 plus.

In above picture resolution is 1440×2960 here 1440 number belongs to horizontal pixels and 2960 belongs to vertical pixels

Aspect ratio = vertical pixels ÷ horizontal pixels

Aspect ratio of above mobile = 2960 ÷ 1440 =>18.5 ÷ 9=>18:9

Example: Samsung galaxy note 8

In above picture resolution is 480×800.similarlly to above 480 number belongs to horizontal pixels and 800 belongs to vertical pixels.

Aspect ratio = vertical pixels ÷ horizontal pixels.

                        = 480 ÷ 800

                        = 4: 3
