Forbes has released its 32nd annual World's Billionaires List. These are the top Billionaires whose are related to tech

1. Jeff Bezos

Worth: $112 billion

Overall Rank: No. 1

Amazon CEO Bezos top on the Forbes list for the first time, but he is also the first person to top $100 billion in the No. 1 spot.

Bezos founded Amazon, the world's largest online shopping retailer, in 1994. He owns 16 percent of the company today. Passionate about space travel, Bezos also owns Blue Origin, his aerospace company that is developing a reusable rocket.

2. Bill Gates

Worth: $90 billion

Overall Rank: No. 2

Gates, who has been the world's richest person in the world for 18 of the past 24 years, dropped to second place on this year's Forbes list. Gates founded Microsoft alongside Paul Allen in 1975, and his fortune increased by $4 billion in 2018.

Known for his philanthropy, Gates and his wife Melinda currently lead the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the world's largest private charitable foundation that works to improve global health. Gates has sold or given away much of his stake in Microsoft, and today he owns just over 1 percent of shares.

3. Mark Zuckerberg

Worth: $71 billion

Overall Rank: No. 5

Facebook CEO Zuckerberg took the social networking company public in May 2012, and his net worth has soared along with Facebook's stock. The company went public in 2012.

Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard University and founded Facebook in 2004 along with four fellow classmates. Zuckerberg, who owns nearly 17 percent of Facebook's shares, has pledged to give away 99 percent of his Facebook stake over the course of his lifetime.

4. Carlos Slim Helu And Family

Worth: $67.1 billion

Overall Rank: No. 7

Carlos Slim Helu is the richest man in Mexico. Helu, alongside his family, control Latin America's largest mobile telecommunications company America Movil. Helu also bought a stake in Mexico's only phone company, Telmex, in 1990. Telmex is now part of America Movil.

In addition to telecom, Helu owns stakes in Mexican construction, consumer goods, as well as mining and real estate companies. He also owns 17 percent of The New York Times.

5. Larry Ellison

Worth: $58.5 billion

Overall Rank: No. 10

In 1977, Ellison co-founded software firm Oracle. The former CEO of the company, Ellison stepped down from the position in 2014 but still serves as the company's CTO and chairman of the board.

Ellison in 2016 pledged to give $200 million to the University of Southern California for a cancer treatment center. He also has donated up to 1 percent of his wealth to charity and has signed The Giving Pledge, a campaign that encourages wealthy people to contribute a majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes.
