 Tails was first released on 23 June 2009. It is the next iteration of development on Incognito, a Gentoo-based Linux distribution.

Tails is a live system that aims to preserve your privacy. It helps to you use the Internet anonymously. Almost anywhere you go and access any site with your computer.

It is a complete operating system designed to be used from a USB stick or a DVD independently of the computer's original operating system. It is Free software and based on Debian/Linux. Tails comes with several built-in applications pre-configured with security in mind: web browser, instant messaging client, email client, office suite, image and sound editor, etc.

Just follow these steps for installing the tails os in vmware

1)Download tails operating system by click here

2)Download VMware software by click here

3) Open vmware you will see a interference like this

4) Click on Create a New virtual Machine and select the typical for beginners.

5)If you have DVD or CD click on first one i.e installer disc:, If you have a iso file in your computer click on browse and give iso file

6) After choose Linux or other because tails os also built on Linux

7)Give the name to Virtual machine and also give the disk size

8)Give the suitable ram it is depends upon your computer.

9)Finally Click on RUN button. The VMware start to detect the operating system

10) Click on tails

11)You will see a pictures like this at that time do not press any key

12)After sometime you will see a picture like this and give your language,Keyboard layout,formats and press install button

13)Finally Tails operating system installed in your VMware.
